Microtek introduces a new and unique device 'Solar Management Unit ". SMU (solar management unit) is a special and unique Indian device that converts your simple Inverter into a Solar Inverter. -The same SMU works on both 12V & 24V inverters.
The charging process is designed for long battery life and improved system performance. Comprehensive self-examination and extensive electronic protection can prevent damage to the wrong cable or system errors.
When the sunlight is full the solar charge controller charges the solar battery with the first value of solar energy, when the battery is fully charged, it runs the load from the sun and automatically starts to move the load to the power back in the evening. The solar management unit gives priority to the solar panel.

SMU uses four stages of battery charging that improve battery life. In the bulk phase SMU supplies the battery with continuous charging power until its capacity reaches 14.4V and float current, and in the suction phase it maintains this voltage above 14.2V for three hours.
Auto / manual operation
The system can work as a home inverter and a solar inverter automatically or manually by switching out of the night mode. In the night mode, it will first harvest the stored battery power and then act as a standard home inverter.
Protection Designed to Avoid Battery Charging and Overcharge
SMU has the ability to charge a solar battery that goes into a deep discharge mode. It can charge the battery if the battery capacity at the time of discharge reaches 8V per battery. The solar control center uses four stages of battery charging namely Boost, Absorption, Float and Equalization. This feature protects the battery from overcharging.
